Increased Winter Range for Cooper Tires

Cooper Tires is launching the Discoverer M+S Sport, a new range of winter tyres to meet the needs of high performance 4x4 vehicles. Designed to provide excellent traction during snow and icy conditions, the Discoverer M+S Sport's tread design incorporates biting edges to offer unparalleled grip in treacherous conditions.

Cooper's patented 'Snow Groove' technology capitalises on the higher traction characteristics of 'snow on snow' grip - rather than 'rubber on snow' - while simultaneously ridding itself of unwanted snow build up in the tyre's grooves. The Discoverer M+S Sport is available in T, H and V speed ratings to cover 15- to 19-inch rim fitments.

In addition, strong sales of Cooper Tire's new lineup of winter tyres, the Weathermaster Snow, has led Cooper to introduce a variety of new sizes in H and V speed ratings, allowing the tyres to be fitted to an even broader selection of today's high performance vehicles.

The Weathermaster Snow benefits from all the characteristics that make Cooper's Weathermaster line successful, including a unique tread pattern which optimises the tyre's road holding capabilities in both wet and snowy environments, whilst working in harmony with the vehicle's braking system to minimise stopping distances in slippery situations.

The Weathermaster Snow is available in a wide range of sizes to cover 15- to 18-inch rims. Both tyres also benefit from a high silica compound which, together with extensive siping, helps keep the tread blocks flexible at very low winter temperatures, aiding grip in the wet and traction in the snow.
