The Ultimate Festival Wellie
New BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A TOUR

The Ultimate Festival Wellie

A revolutionary "super grip" wellie, which uses the same technology as world class tyres, could spell the end of slipping around in the mud for festival lovers. The concept boot, which has already been billed as the "ultimate festival wellie", ha been designed by fashion students at Leicester College and incorporates a sole made entirely from the tread of a Uniroyal tyre to keep festival goers on their feet.

New BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A TOUR

BFGoodrich has launched the new Long Trail T/ATOUR 4x4 tyre, which is designed for mainly road use and occasional off-road use. The new tyre offers high levels of safety through its braking performance and excellent road holding on dry, wet and loose surfaces.

It also offers superb driving comfort and is one decibel quieter than its predecessor - an important factor for road-going 4x4s. The new tread pattern's wet grip performance is provided by a combination of four longitudinal grooves to clear standing water, and heavy siping to grip wet and damp surfaces.

Dry road performance is enhanced by a central rib in the tread that is made rigid by tie-bars. This rigidity ensures consistent contact with the road surface, leading to high levels of grip and road holding in dry conditions. The combination of on and off-road performance is thanks to staggered shoulder blocks, which give traction on loose surfaces including grass, mud and sand.

The BFGoodrich Long Trail T/ATOUR will be available in 20 sizes covering 15, 16 and 17-inch wheel diameters and 65, 70 and 75 series aspect ratios. The range will be gradually introduced between May 2008 and early 2009.
