Marangoni Tyre Completes e-logic Range

Marangoni Tyre has completed its new e-logic range, a high-tech summer tyre designed for small and medium sized cars that drive on urban roads every day and as a consequence require tyres that can considerably reduce costs and environmental impact. The e-logic tyre has been developed based on Marangoni's new "e3" technological platform, involving the use of environmentally friendly compounds that reduce rolling resistance. This helps bring down fuel consumption, increase tyre mileage and limit the impact on the environment.

In the specific case of e-logic, the new silica-based compound with low rolling resistance bring a 2% reduction in fuel consumption and a 15% increase in mileage when compared with the previous Marangoni Trio range. Specifically, the use of no-oil compounds and the optimised sequence of the tread pattern, as well as limiting CO2 emissions, also helps reduce driving noise by 2 dB (again compared to the Marangoni Trio).

Finally, important progress has been achieved as regards energy savings, thanks to a new cavity and the latest generation compounds that reduce the rolling resistance coefficient by 15% and improve the vehicle's dynamic efficiency. With the e-logic Marangoni has made big steps with regards to improving behaviour in the wet, to the extent that the tyre competes with the best products available on the market in terms of road grip and braking. Specifically, compared to the Trio, grip on wet surfaces has improved by 10%, with braking distances reduced by 10%.

The new e-logic tyre, which completely replaces the Marangoni Trio, is available in 22 different sizes, two of which have entered the Marangoni range for the very first time: the 175/65 R15 (used on popular cars such as the Fiat Grande Punto and the Mini) and the 155/65 R14 (for city cars such as the Citroen C1, Opel Agila, Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo).
